The remodeling process involved the assistance to PeruRail from concept development to validation of the overall project (budget). This meant a co-working with the architects of Enrique Concha for the design then the development was carried out by Peru Rail and Enrique Palacio architects.
In late 2012, we began the process of remodeling the Expedition and Vistadome cars. The concept of the existing trains is to offer -to domestic and foreign tourists- an interior that mimics the atmosphere and personality of visitors to Machu Picchu. Therefore, the Vistadome reflects an extension of the jungle of Machu Picchu, with seats in taupe and pistachio plus wooden coffee table; more applications on the walls inlaid resin branches. Then the Expedition, identified for the adventurous traveler, is more inspired in earthy colors with interior walls covered with prints and Inca & Moche theme.
